In the fast-paced realm of talent acquisition, staying ahead of the curve is paramount. It's not just about finding the right individuals to join your organization; it's about understanding the intricate landscape of recruitment, retention, and development.

With this in mind, we embarked on an enlightening journey, delving into the depths of talent acquisition within the Nordic region. 🚀

Intriguing data from HR seminars in Finland and Sweden

In 2023, amidst the crisp Scandinavian air, we orchestrated two illuminating HR seminars. One took place in the heart of Finland, Helsinki, on a brisk November morning, while the other unfolded in the vibrant city of Stockholm, Sweden, in the blossoming spring of April.

These gatherings weren’t just about exchanging pleasantries over coffee and croissants; they were vibrant hubs of knowledge exchange, where HR professionals congregated to dissect the ever-evolving landscape of talent acquisition.

Central to these seminars was a carefully constructed questionnaire aimed at uncovering the current state of talent acquisition within each organization present. 📊

Today, we are ready to unveil the insights gleaned from the collective wisdom of over 100 HR professionals who graciously shared their perspectives. The study results include the following parts

  • Challenges in talent acquisition
  • Candidate Experience
  • KPIs
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Talent Community

Highlights from the state of talent acquisition study

Candidate experience is the key to attracting top talents in the long term. Thus, in the seminars, we wanted to get to know how the HR professionals see the importance of candidate experience.

We found out that candidate experience was considered important in both countries in question but…

“In Sweden, candidate experience is considered 12% more important than in Finland.”

Also, we wanted to identify how the HR professionals communicate with their candidates. It’s vital since several studies globally have shown that timely and personalized communication leads to a better candidate experience. 💬

“In Finland, recruiters communicate 24% more with all candidates compared to Sweden”.

To be able to improve one’s recruitment processes, gathering data and measuring the effectiveness of different actions is crucial. In the seminars, we found out what were the most and least used KPIs in both countries.

“In Sweden and Finland, the least measured KPIs are talent community metrics, quality of candidates, and withdrawal rate.“

AI is a hot topic all over the world but what is the situation with AI adoption in the Nordics? ✨ Among our study groups, we found out that

“AI for recruitment is used 32% more in Finland than in Sweden.”
